It was such a joy to be back in Twickenham to photograph Victoria and Paul’s wedding on a beautiful early autumn day in October. It’s an area of London I know well and absolutely love, so it felt great to return for such a special occasion! From the moment they booked me, I knew their day would be something special—Victoria and Paul couldn’t have been lovelier.

The day kicked off in nearby Teddington at The Lensbury, where Victoria was getting ready with her bridal party. From there, I headed to Twickenham to catch Paul enjoying a quick drink at The Prince Albert pub before heading to Holy Trinity Church for the ceremony. Afterwards, we strolled through Twickenham, taking in the riverside views on the way to their reception venue at Twickenham Rowing Club on Eel Pie Island.

Morning in Teddington and Twickenham

The morning kicked off in a wonderfully relaxed way at The Lensbury, where Victoria was getting ready with her bridal party, including her mum. The Lensbury is a fantastic choice for wedding accommodation if you’re planning your big day in South West London, especially if you have guests staying over.

Set right on the banks of the River Thames, between Teddington and Kingston, the hotel has a restaurant, spa, pool and gym on-site and it’s also perfectly located with plenty to see and do within walking distance. You’ve got beautiful riverside walks, plus two of London’s most stunning parks—Bushy Park and Richmond Park—just a stone’s throw away. And with Twickenham, Teddington, and Kingston all nearby, there’s no shortage of great local restaurants, bars, and shops to explore. For those wanting to visit central London while staying, trains usually run around every fifteen minutes to Waterloo and Vauxhall in the heart of London.

After a very chilled morning with Victoria, I headed over to The Prince Albert in Twickenham, where a few guests had gathered to join Paul for a relaxed drink at the bar before the short walk over to the church.

The sun was shining as Paul and his groomsmen greeted guests with big smiles, all while trying to wrestle with their tricky buttonholes outside the church. Soon, everyone made their way inside, just in time for Victoria’s beautiful arrival a few moments later, ready to walk down the aisle. The ceremony was heartfelt and moving, with a special moment when Paul’s young son proudly took on the role of ring bearer. Afterwards, everyone gathered outside, ready with handfuls of confetti to celebrate the newlyweds.

A riverside stroll to Twickenham Rowing Club

After the group photos on the green just across from the church, guests made their way to Twickenham Rowing Club on Eel Pie Island, enjoying the sights of Twickenham along the way. Meanwhile, Victoria and Paul took a little time for themselves, which was perfect for capturing some relaxed, natural photos together.

Once everyone arrived, it was time to celebrate with friends and family. The vibe was wonderfully laid-back, with a sit-down meal in the adjoining room and heartfelt, funny speeches later in the day so evening guests could enjoy them too. Instead of a traditional first dance, the band kicked off their set, and it wasn’t long before the dance floor was full of energy and laughter.
