The Bentley Liverpool Wedding Photographer | Effie + Jay
What a fantastic day it was at The Bentley celebrating Effie and Jay's wedding! The Bentley, an amazing venue located right across from the Liver Building on The Strand, offers stunning views from the roof terrace bar area. With two spacious areas on the first floor, large ceiling-height windows that look out towards the river on one side, and a dancefloor with a bar area on the opposite side where guests can dance the night away.
Soaking up the sun on the roof terrace bar
After capturing some images of guests arriving, I headed up to meet Jay, who was dressed in a raspberry-coloured tweed three-piece suit and bespoke Converse trainers. He welcomed friends and family as they arrived for a quick drink and chat at the rooftop bar, which overlooks the Liver Building and the River Mersey. Effie’s family had travelled from Greece, so it was so nice to see so many people meeting for the first time, everyone in a joyful mood for the day ahead.
An amazing summer wedding at The Bentley
Guests then made their way down for the ceremony before Effie walked down the aisle accompanied by her proud father, who had also travelled from Greece. Following the ceremony, friends and family showered Effie and Jay with confetti and bubbles outside the front of The Bentley, before returning to the roof terrace bar, now joined by Effie and the bridal party.
After the group photos, Effie and Jay took a short walk along The Strand for some relaxed portraits. These images captured not only the happy couple but also the surrounding scenery, creating a memory of how the city looked on their wedding day.
After being announced into the room to rapturous applause, it was time for the wedding breakfast, followed by the speeches. The father of the bride spoke brilliantly in English, despite it not being his first language. The mother of the groom, best man Paul, and Jay also delivered touching speeches. Jay even addressed Effie’s family in Greek, which was a lovely gesture.
Evening wedding portraits and a big party
As the day progressed, we were lucky to have some beautiful golden light, perfect for another walk with Effie and Jay to capture a few more portraits before the sunset. This led to the cake-cutting and an awesome party on the dance floor. It was so much fun to capture, and the dancefloor was bouncing all night.
Here are some of my favourite images to tell the story of the day. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer and like my work, get in touch I’d love to hear from you.
